Cool Wave Slide

I researched for a week or more trying to learn about different options of slides as well as slopes and heights needed for my daughter's soon to be built wooden playhouseslideswingy thing. The price compared to others was great, and the slide successfully shipped in less than a week as promised. You need to be a bit handy with tools to install this. Because you may have slope issues. We made our decking five feet high, so we had to build a lower step down deck to attach the slide to. My daughter is only 23 months old, so reinforcement is not needed, however we plan on reinforcing it later as she gains pounds. The instructions provided were very thorough, and also suggested that a stake be placed below the end of the slide so that you can anchor the slide base to the ground stake. We actually took a step further and built a landing platform that it was attached to. It took approximately 30 minutes to install. WARNING: If attached to a higher stage than about 4.5 feet, younger children, including 5 year olds, will end up shooting through the neighbors window. The wave in the slide can act as a great ramp if the slope sends you South too fast! (Sarcasm Safety Tip). As always, the product arrived very quickly and packaged very securely. Good job Amazon!

I have this attached to a loft bed. Without any reinforcement it takes my weight of 225 lbs. Of course it is too small for an adult, but this is great for kids. It is set at about 42 inches high and is fast. Only needed the 3 screws to fasten it at the top. It was easy to stick light strips on to the sides too. Everyone is happy with this - as you can see in the video.

I bought this slide to use for an indoor play fort my husband made for my kids. The slide came on time and as pictured. The install was quick and easy. I just screwed it into the wooden platform that we built. My 3 year old has a blast on it. The only downfall is because she is so little right now she goes pretty fast down the slide. We just put her stuffed animals at the end of the slide to help cushion the landing. Overall this is a great slide and has held up well to all of the abuse that my 3 year old puts it through.

This slide arrived on time. It is pretty flimsy, but that was expected from reading others' reviews of it. It has a significant amount of bounce and give when even a 35lb child goes down it. Missing: some of the hardware. The instructions say that it should be attached at the ground by driving a stake underneath it, and then drilling holes to accept two wood screws with washers. Nieither the wood screws nor the washers were included, as the instructions said they would be. The screws (pan head maybe) that attach the top side of the slide were included. It was very easy to instal. I just wish it were more rigid.

This was put in our family room with a 4 foot platform. My kids are over the moon in love with their indoor slide! It is so cold and snowy out right now and they can burn energy doing one of their favorite things- SLIDING! This slide is a great deal as others cost 4 times as much. The platform was easy to build and if you have a saw and a drill, you will be able to build one yourself. It isn't hard at all. We love it! We may move it outside in the summer but for now, it's perfect right where it is.

Of course I could have gone to the manufacturer and paid through the nose for shipping, and premium pricing for the product. Instead, I opted to research to try and save a little money. I am glad I did. First of all, Amazon showed me a number of alternatives to the original product I was replacing. Secondly, the price was much more fair on Amazon than going to the manufacturer. You need to be a bit handy with tools to install this. This slide bolted up to the outdoor activity center a little differently than the original. I took the opportunity to reinforce the entire area that the slide mounted to before I installed it. I also liked the fact that the instructions provided were very thorough, and also suggested that a stake be placed below the end of the slide so that you can anchor the slide base to the ground stake. Once installed (took me only 30 minutes), this slide was an upgrade to what came originally, and I feel much more confident about my 4 year old's safety on this better designed slide. With the different mounting instructions and the ground stake, the slide feel very solid. So solid that my 11 year old son can go down with no issues at all. As always, the product arrived very quickly and packaged very securely. Good job Amazon!

We purchased this slide to attach to my 7 year old sons loft bed and it works great. It definitely is sturdy enough for children as both my husband (185 lbs) and myself periodically slide down it. It is a VERY fast slide at the angle we have it at so we always put a pillow or bean bag at the bottom when children use it for the first time.

We ordered this slide to go with Swing N Slide's Alpine 614 kit. The kit was purchased through Overstock and the plans leave MUCH to be desired. In the picture of swing set, a wave slide is shown. So I ordered the "wave slide" But the darn thing is at least 12" shorter than it should be for the Alpine plans. NO WHERE on the plans does it specify which slide and what length should be purchased for these plans. Now, we are stuck with this thing and my husband had attempt to make it work. The result is a very fast slide at steep angle with a drop off at the end. I am not pleased with this purchase and WILL NOT be purchasing any more products from Swing N Slide.

Awesome and lots of fun. We bought it to use indoors and put it on our basement stairs. The kids have so much fun with it. We also bring it up to the livingroom and put it on the couch or the floor they have so much fun and play on it all day.

The green gets pretty warm in the hot sun. Slide was easy to install and very durable. I accidentally parked a bobcat skidsteer on it overnight. Left it in the sun for a bit and it took it's original shape back. You'd never know except for the faint tire Mark's on it. Oops.
