I was worried because the new light connector at the end of the cord looks very different from my older BA-ICE-1F. As it turns out, this is the correct ballast and the new light connection is better from the old. It has 2 parts. The first is installed on the light housing under the quartz tube retainer (which does require you to turn off the water supply and remove the screwed on retaining ring). The cord then plugs onto the light but the light still does not come on until it is seated on the first part of the housing you will have installed. This prevents you from turning on the light before it is properly set inside the unit to prevent eye damage from the UV light. This little safety feature is probably part of why the old unit is no longer available. The day counter is also a useful addition.

Keep your old power Cord,, don't come with one,,

Item arrived quickly and in great condition. Replace the old one with this and it worked like a charm. The only thing to note is that this doesn't come with a power cord. If you are purchasing to replace an older model, just make sure your power cord isn't hardwired into your box. If it unplugs, you can just use the old power cord. If it doesn't, you'll need to order the corresponding power cord for this unit. Very happy with this purchase!

I liked the new style plug, it was. Such easier to load the light into the housing, and it seemed to hold the prongs more tightly !!! I also liked the service I got from the seller, who acted very rapidly to my problem !! We are enjoying good clean water, while every day I read about " boil water advi sories all around the state !!! Thanks for a GOOD product and excellent service, at a most reasonable price !!!! I got almost seven years out of the first one. I feel like I might have gotten a longer life out of the first Ballast if I had replaced the UV lamp sooner after the ballast alarm indicated it was time to change the UV lamp. It was installed in a vacation cabin and probably was going off for two months before I could replace the bulb. New one came well packaged and installed in about five minutes. Is working well.

My old BA-ICE-1F ballast failed after 15 years of good service. This is the recommended replacement and it works fine so far. Hope to holds up. The 365 day count-down timer is new and useful. "Water Anywhere" answered all my questions and shipped very quickly.

Original unit got fried (along with a bunch of other things) when our house got hit by lightning. While this did not exactly match the one I had it connected and works properly.

Quiet. Excellent craftsmanship. Year to date digital readout is great! It will also beep you when its time to replave tge UV lamp. Replaced my Culligan system which demanded an 800.00 replacement cost. Took me 35 minutes! Thank you.

Very easy to install in minutes. Nice upgrade from my previous, older model. The count down timer is a nice way to track the lifetime of the bulb.

Replaced a 20 year old BA-ICE-1F that finally stopped working. The new model has a different boot end design and is not 100% compatible with my older system. The bulb connector is the same but the bulb sits too far out of the tube. So I had to cut away the circular plastic piece and adjust the ground wire so the bulb goes all the way in. Works fine but definitely no way to return now if it develops any issues during the eligible return period.

Replaced our 12 year old controller and it worked perfectly. Slight design change from earlier model but very easy to install

Yes they’re not cheap but less than a new filter a simple fix and it’s worth having good house water from my well.

I bought the previous one in Dec of 2023 and it has died already. Not happy with that
